As a symbol of this special partnership, a unique VfB crest has been created over recent months and which now has pride of place in our Mercedes-Benz Business Center in the MHP Arena. It was partly produced in the apprentice workshops run by the two automotive manufacturers, and embodies the strength and solidarity of our region. The core of the badge is made up of 1893 wish capsules, written into the VfB logo and which will support social projects run by the VfB ‘Brustring der Herzen’ Foundation. YOUR WISH CAPSULE
People look after one another, and in the region that we come from, there are countless wonderful examples of those who show a real social commitment to making a sustainable change to our region, be it via social, environmental, climate or educational work. Now is your chance to show your support for where we come from.
How does it work?
1. Choose one of the 1893 wish capsules and add it to your basket. Fill in all the required fields to complete your purchase and add the capsule to your personal collection.
2. Now you can support our region by telling us where you want 100% of the proceeds from the purchase of your capsule to go. You can choose from the various VfB ‘Brustring der Herzen’ Foundation priorities you wish to support. Here is what the form looks like.

OUR CREST
The VfB Stuttgart crest was used in its current form on the VfB players' shirts from 1949 to 1993, during which time the team won three German Championships. The crest was changed several times since then, before it was reintroduced in 2014 following a decision made by club members. Hover over our crest for more:
The current crest accompanied VfB Stuttgart from 1949 to 1994, from winning the German Championship in 1950 to participating in the Champions League in 1992/93. The VfB crest that was in common use until 1993 underwent various modifications over time, before it was put to a member decision in 2014 to have it return to its original form. FAQ
The VfB badge is located in the foyer of the Mercedes-Benz Business Center at the MHP Arena Stuttgart. It is 3.32 metres long, 2.98 metres wide and weighs 401 kilogrammes.
As the owner of one of the 1893 wish capsules, you are part of a large-scale community supporting our local region, as well as getting added benefits. You personally can decide to support either specific priorities chosen by the VfB Foundation, or promote your own chosen social project via the foundation. Whichever you decide, 100% of the proceeds from your wish capsule will go to the VfB Foundation and support our local region.
Once you have purchased your wish capsule, you will be sent a form where you can support either specific priorities chosen by the VfB Foundation, or promote your own chosen social project, to which we will then give up to €18,930 in support. For us to support a cause of your own, we will however require certain information from you, which needs to be submitted by 31 December 2024 (The date is subject to change.)

Your wish capsule ownership will expire on 15 October 2027, at which point it will become available again to support other projects. A few days before your ownership expires however, you will be given the opportunity to reacquire your capsule and continue your good work.
100% of the proceeds from the purchase of your wish capsule will go to the VfB Foundation to support people in our region. You are free to decide whether you would like to support one of the foundation’s priorities or a project of your own.
Please note: As there is a monetary consideration for the purchase of your capsule, we cannot issue you with a donation receipt for your purchase.
The VfB ‘Brustring der Herzen’ (‘The Heart in the Ring’) Foundation was set up to support people throughout the region where we live. It makes an important contribution to a more open society, where people work together for a sustainable future, with education and learning for young and old being important pillars of what the foundation stands for.
You have two options for giving a gift capsule:
1. Give away an already purchased Wish Capsule
If you have already purchased a Wish Capsule, you can give it away as long as
- it has not yet been filled in with a sponsorship request, and
- you have not yet registered for the Arena Tour.
If you have not yet used either of these options, you can give away the capsule in your profile under “Collectibles”. To do this, click on the three dots next to the wish capsule and select “Give away”. A form will open in which you can enter the e-mail address and name of the person receiving the gift. After submitting the form, the person receiving the gift will automatically receive an email with an invitation to add the capsule to their profile.
Important: When you give the gift capsule, you also transfer the right to participate in the Arena Tour and the option to use the sponsorship wish. Both will be removed from your profile.
2. Buy the Wish Capsule of your choice as a gift
Alternatively, you can buy a gift card directly as a present - even if you already have one yourself. To do this, select the capsule of your choice in the VfB logo and click on “Gist Wish Capsule”. Payment is made using the usual methods. Once you have done this, a window will open in which you can enter the details of the person receiving the gift. They will then automatically receive an email with an invitation to add the capsule to their profile.
Note: The recipient will receive the digital ownership rights to the Wish Capsule in the VfB crest of the MHP Arena, participation for two people in the Highlight Arena Tour and the opportunity to enter a personal social project wish in the Wish Capsule."
